Go. Here. For. Ramen. This one is located in Valley Fair mall and there's almost always a line (it goes at a decent pace) - they give you a piece of paper towards the front to circle which entree you want with what specifications (can adjust oil level, garlic, vegetables, thick/thin noodles and firmness, chashu vs kakuni, spice level, add extras like egg, etc.) I got the black king and really liked it! Definitely the more adventurous item on the menu vs their original tonkotsu broth (which is also delicious). The server suggested light to no oil for the black king for first-timers. I almost always add an egg to my ramen because I'm obsessed with ajitama and this one did not disappoint. Random note: I really like the bean sprouts provided inside the container in the middle! A guy next to me got the veggie ramen which came with hash browns and he recommended getting it on the side so it doesn't get soggy and it looked sooo good that I'll definitely try it the next time I'm here!

One of my favorite ramen spots in the bay! Definitely come early as there is always a line even before opening. The original, red, and black king are all really good and depends on my mood, but I usually go for the black. Still need to try the green one! Their chashu portions are lean and generous and the egg is perfection, although it's an add on. The soups are super rich. I like to go with firm thick noodles and extra heavy garlic. Next time I may go lighter on the salt. Definitely worth the wait!

I get the hype!! I've been here a few times but also haven't been here in a few years. My bf and I decided to go because the line was really short for once (it was a Thursday). We got the pork fried rice (4/5) and chicken karaage (5/5). The pork fried rice tasted great, no complaints. The chicken karaage though was soooo good. It had sesame oil! Definitely a must get. The ramen (4/5) was also good and imo well priced. I got the normal spicy but it had zero spice so I would try out a higher level next time. Overall great food, great pricing, you just have to get the timing right with their lines.

This place is nothing short of astonishing. We have been here probably 20 times over a variety of evenings (weekends and weekdays) and the food is consistently amazing. We usually get the Red King with a spice level of "10". The broth is amazing, the eggs and noodles are always perfect, and the service is quite unbelievable because the food is usually on the table in less than 10 mins. Valley Fair Ramen Nagi is, quite simply, the best ramen in East Bay.

Visited Ramen Nagi with a few friends on a Sunday evening! Came near closing time, but the host seated is fairly quickly and helped keep our large group together. The service was extremely quick, with most of our ramen noodles arriving within ten minutes of ordering! As for the food itself, I ordered the Red King and the Karaage. The Karaage was not only extremely crispy but really flavorful! I highly recommend giving it a try if you're looking for an appetizer. The chicken to crunch ratio is superb. As for the Red King, the spice was a bit less spicy than anticipated, so keep that in mind! The noodles were firm and delicious, as for the chashu, it was tender and just overall solid.

Finally got to try this location. We came when they opened and the line was already long! The inside was already packed! That's insane. No Togo orders so they must be good! Ordered their "red king" option which is the spicy soup based. I ordered it with the chefs recommendation but added extra garlic and also added an egg. The food came out quick. The ramen noodle was chewy and perfectly cooked. The soup base wasn't too salty and had a good kick to it. Egg was also a beautiful soft boiled egg as well.

I've never even tried to eat here since I've only seen the line going to the other side of the walkway, but the line was really short since I went around noon. Plus, the staff were extremely eager to get as many people in the restaurant as possible. I'm glad I went because it was by far the best ramen that I've had in the South Bay, I wish I had paid the extra $2 for more pork belly.

I recently had the opportunity to go to Ramen Nagi with my friends on a Sunday morning right at opening. I had been before 5 years ago, but at the time, I did not understand the hype about the place as the ramen was not good enough to justify the high prices. Now that other ramen places in the area are upwards of $20.00 nowadays, I have re-evaluated and can see why so many love this place. I was the first to secure a spot in line for my group of 3 around 10:40am. Already, there was a line though the restaurant was not open until 11:00am. The worker came around with the paper menus so that we could decide our orders. Last time I went, I got the Original King, and I thought it was just ok. I decided on the Black King this time around because of its uniqueness and proceeded marking my other preferences. We were able to get in on the first round around 11:15am. I absolutely loved the ramen. The broth was very rich and flavorful, and my firm thick noodles were great. Definitely go for light salt. I took this recommendation from a random customer nearby, and I'm glad I listened. The chashu was plentiful, and I liked that the cut was thinner than most places. I could not finish the bowl, but luckily this location offers containers for left-overs. I'm glad I gave Ramen Nagi another chance. I would definitely return, but only right before opening or on weekdays when the line is supposedly shorter. I would not get in line if the wait is egregiously long. I wish they allowed reservations, collected phone numbers, gave out buzzers...but they can't give up their marketing tactic of a long line outside their store...oh well. I'll still be coming back if I have the opportunity to.
